Leah Gibson, OD is pleased to announce that she has opened her own practice, Pioneer Family EyeCare (www.pioneerfamilyeyecare.com), after serving the Lincoln community for 10 years. Dr. Gibson will continue to provide medical and routine eye care for patients of all ages. Her goals include providing more personalized exams and taking time to meet the needs of each patient.
Dr. Gibson is a native Nebraskan. She grew up on a farm in central Nebraska. After graduating from Callaway High School, she attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received her Bachelor of Science and moved to Memphis, TN to attend Southern College of Optometry. Returning to practice in Nebraska and being closer to family, was an important goal that was achieved in January 2013. Raising two small children took precedence for several years. In November 2022, the long term goal of opening her own practice arrived as Pioneer Family EyeCare opened its doors.
Pioneer Family EyeCare is located at 70th and Pioneers. As a group, they bring 95 years of combined experience in the optometric field. All ages are welcome, whether that is for routine eye health exams, treatment of various ocular diseases, emergency red eye visits, or pre and postoperative care.
