James Arthur Vineyards (JAV, jamesarthurvineyards.com) is getting into the holiday spirit with an exciting lineup of events. Celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and everything in between.
In October, get your sixth sense tingling with a JAV Ghost Tour, offered every Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Then on Sundays, come back for a spooky round two with haunted hayrack rides through the vineyard. To finish out the month, indulge yourself in JAV’s WorldFamous Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner event at Billy’s Restaurant on Saturday, October 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All reservations must be made through Billy’s Restaurant by calling (402) 474-0084.
In November, JAV has lined up some pre-Christmas festivities to keep your calendar full! Starting on Friday, November 11, come to the vineyard for a holiday wine bottle painting event, held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The next Friday, November 18, JAV is celebrating the release of their Christmas wines all day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be live music in the evening starting at 5 p.m. by Spock’s Foster Sister. In addition, JAV has a response to Black Friday – their White Friday event on November 25 with deals on their delicious white wines. Then on Saturday they will round out the November events with a holiday open house featuring ornament-making, cookies, hot mulled wine, free live holiday music by Chris Sayer from 2 to 5 p.m., and gift shop specials from noon to 9 p.m.
In December, JAV is bringing the holiday cheer in full force, kicking off with a series of holiday cabarets performed by vocalists Judy Anderson and Dave Claus December 2-4. Then, if you missed the Halloween murder mystery dinner at Billy’s Restaurant, you can catch the second round on Saturday, December 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The next two Sundays leading up to Christmas Day, JAV will showcase their Holiday Music Series with live music at the vineyard from 2 to 5 p.m. by Josh Hoyer on December 11 and by Jerry Renaud on December 18.
