HFMA Announces State of the Senior Care Industry Summit

The Nebraska Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA; hfmaregion8.org) will be holding a Senior Care Industry Summit to address industry issues in operations, reimbursement, and care coordination. The summit will take place on January 30–31, 2020 at the Embassy Suites La Vista Hotel and Conference Center. Registration will take place from 7 to 8 a.m. that Thursday, and the agenda concludes at noon on Friday.

HFMA’s Senior Care Industry Summit is designed to offer numerous education and networking opportunities. On Thursday, attendees will hear from various industry specialists presenting on a range of topics, from USDA senior housing financing to senior housing trends, demographics, construction, and rent rates. On Friday, Heath Bobby with the Nebraska Health Care Association will present on the future of senior care, followed by a Nebraska Legislative Update and a Nebraska Medicaid panel discussion.

Attendees earn contact hours for the educational sessions. Participants should consult their reporting jurisdictions concerning acceptance of individual courses. All HFMA educational programs earn points towards HFMA certification and certification maintenance requirements. Attendees can also earn CPE credits toward Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy CPA license renewal credit.
