Lincoln Running Co. Presents YMCA Marathon Training Class

Beginning January 9, Lincoln Running Co. (lincrunningcompany.com) Manager Ann Ringlein will be conducting a class at the YMCA Lincoln (ymcalincoln.org) to teach participants how to run a full or half marathon. Participants will be able to run with people at their fitness level, whatever that may be. The YMCA will provide a personal training schedule and individual help. Cost of participation is $100 for YMCA members and $150 for non-members. The class will meet three times a week and run until May 2. Meeting times are 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, 6 p.m. on Thursdays, and 7 a.m. on Fridays.

With over 35 years of competitive running experience, Ringlein is excited to lead the class and help less-experienced runners find their stride. In addition to connecting with experienced runners, class participants will have the opportunity to hear from professional speakers every Thursday night, join Monday evening yoga sessions, and participate in weekly group cycling classes. The YMCA also provides injury prevention and strength training education to all participants.

The YMCA believes in strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. A complete schedule of the marathon training class is available on their website ymcalincoln.org. If you have any questions, please contact Karla Hudson at (402) 434-9238 or khudson@ymcalincoln.org.
