SCIP Collaborates with New Therapists to Provide Services to Students

School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) (www.lmep.com) is pleased to announce the addition of Natasha Gartin, LMHP and Melissa Tucci, MA, LIMHP, LADC of Williamsburg Behavioral Psychology Clinic, LLC as partnering therapists. Partnering behavioral health agencies and therapists generously provide free screenings for youth with suspected or existing behavioral, mental, or substance abuse disorders through a referral from a school’s SCIP Team. The free SCIP screening provides that critical first step in determining how to best meet a student’s behavioral and emotional health needs. Currently, 11 behavioral health agencies collaborate with SCIP.

School Community Intervention & Prevention (scipnebraska.com) is supported in whole or part by Grant #2B08T1010034 under the SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Treatment and the Nebraska Division of Behavioral Health and monies passed through by Region 4 and Region V to prevention providers ($135,170 or 53%) and $121,933 or 47% from non-governmental entities.

Lincoln Medical Education Partnership (LMEP) opened more than 40 years ago to train family medicine physicians in response to a growing need for primary care providers. Now in their fifth decade, the group has evolved into a multi-dimensional organization offering a variety of healthcare programs and services.
