Sumner Place to Require COVID-19 Vaccination for All Team Members

The leadership at Sumner Place (www.sumnerplacecare.com), a Vetter Senior Living Facility, embraces the COVID vaccines that have dramatically reduced COVID-19 cases and the severity of illness in long term care. The vaccines have offered hope in a time when it is desperately needed.

Sumner Place has decided to embrace the vaccination mandate and are requiring all team members, volunteers, and contractors to be thoroughly vaccinated by October 1, 2021, unless a medical or religious exemption has been approved.

Sumner Place has built a reputation on providing Quality Life and Quality Care for those they serve. It is increasingly difficult to fulfill their commitment without requiring all team members receive the vaccination.

To protect all residents, staff, and others in the communities from the risks of COVID-19, parent company Vetter Senior Living strongly urges the vaccination of all health care personnel and supports all facilities who adopt mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies.

“Our team members, families, and residents have been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Glenn Ven Ekeren, president of Vetter Senior Living. “The only way we can end it is to get vaccinated, and we believe we can get there.”

Sumner Place is a licensed skilled nursing facility that provides long-term care, rehabilitation services, and memory support. Learn more at www.sumnerplacecare.com.
