On Friday, August 4, Hillcrest Country Club in Lincoln will host the 27th annual Catholic Social Services Memorial Golf Classic & Auction, a major fundraiser for the programs of Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska (CSS, csshope.org). This year’s event is in memory of Jose Quintero.
Last year, 288 golfers participated in the tournament. The silent auction portion of the event took place online, allowing folks from anywhere to bid on items. Through the generosity of golfers, bidders and sponsors, last year’s event raised a net amount of over $114,000 for the programs and services of CSS.
Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska serves all people regardless of faith in the southern third of Nebraska. Their services cover 24,000-square-miles offering charitable assistance through the food market and meal services, emergency services, refugee resettlement and immigration help, Gift & Thrift stores, St. Gianna Program and emergency housing.
