The American Heart Association (AHA, is proud of the 21 hospitals and EMS agencies in Nebraska that are among the 2,600 nationwide that participate in the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® initiative to improve outcomes for Americans who experience heart disease or stroke.

Each year, the American Heart Association recognizes hospitals across the country for consistently following up-to-date, research-based guidelines to ensure all patients have access to lifesaving care. In Nebraska, 20 hospitals and one EMS agency were recognized this year, including: Avera Creighton Hospital, Creighton; Bryan Medical Center, Lincoln; CHI Health Bergan Mercy, Omaha; CHI Health Good Samaritan, Kearney; CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha; CHI Health St. Elizabeth, Lincoln; CHI Health St. Francie Medical Center, Grand Island; Columbus Community Hospital, Columbus; Cozad Community Hospital, Cozad; Fait; Regional Health Services, Norfolk; Great Plains Health, North Platte; Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center, Broken Bow; Kearney Regional Medical Center, Kearney; Lexington Regional Health Center, Lexington; Lincoln Fire & Rescue, Lincoln; Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings; Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha; Nebraska Medicine, Bellevue; Nebraska Methodist Hospital, Omaha; Pawnee County Memorial Hospital, Pawnee City; and Regional West Medical Center, Scottsbluff.
