American Cancer Society Seeks Candidates for Annual Real Men Wear Pink Campaign

The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) is seeking candidates to take part in the fourth annual Real Men Wear Pink campaign in Lincoln. This is an opportunity for men in the community to have a meaningful impact on an important cause and have some fun doing in it. The American Cancer Society created the Real Men Wear Pink campaign to engage and empower male community leaders in the fight to end breast cancer and raise awareness for the cause. Each Real Men Wear Pink participant accepts a fundraising challenge and competes to be the top fundraiser among his peers by the end of the campaign.

The American Cancer Society reminds the community that breast cancer doesn’t just affect women. Thousands of men in the U.S. are diagnosed with the disease every year, along with more than 266,000 of their daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and friends. Money raised through this campaign helps the American Cancer Society save lives from breast cancer through early detection and prevention, innovative breast-cancer research, and patient support.
