Yes, it might still be chilly out, but the winter skies are truly something to behold! If the sky is clear and the condition of the park’s grounds allow, Branched Oak Observatory (BOO, theboo.org) will be open for the FIRST General Public Star Party of the year. Bundle up warm and join them on February 10 from 8 to 10 p.m. for this free event (though donations are very much appreciated).

The constellation of Orion the Hunter will be high in the south providing the absolute best views of the Great Orion Nebula. Visitors will also get a chance to see Jupiter, the Pleiades Star Cluster, the Double Cluster in Perseus, the Beehive Cluster, the Andromeda Galaxy and so many more winter delights.
