Fresh Start Seeks Support for 24 Females Transitioning Out of Homelessness

With the holiday giving season in full swing, Fresh Start (www.freshstarthome.org) is asking the community to consider donating to help sustain its current operations of supporting 24 female residents transition out of homelessness.

The organization is also reminding members of the community to take advantage of ways to increase donation impact at no extra cost. These include utilizing employer matching gift programs or doing holiday shopping through initiatives that make charitable donations to Fresh Start, such as AmazonSmile, Good Shop, or Ebay for Charity.

Monica Zinke, Fresh Start’s executive director says, “Hope is not an abstract concept at Fresh Start, or a passive thought. It’s something we see in action every day. We strive to instill it every day, too. Monetary contributions aren’t just providing dollars. They are providing that hope.”

Fresh Start is a non-profit transitional housing program for women that empowers them to change their lives by recognizing and overcoming barriers to self-sufficiency. Since its formation in 1991, over 1,600 women have called Fresh Start home.
