Friendship Home Announces Summer Needs

With the weather getting warmer, school coming to a close, and outdoor activities kicking off, the needs at Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org) are changing. During the summer months, the families they serve can spend more time together and more time outdoors, so some of the biggest needs include, but are not limited to, sunscreen, bug spray, outdoor games, beach towels, water balloons, and the like.

Friendship Home also needs things that families can go experience and have fun doing together, like gift cards for miniature golfing, bowling, museums or zoos, or pool passes. Whatever your family likes doing together in the summer, families at Friendship Home would enjoy and appreciate, too. The hope is for the community to donate items to help these families fully enjoy their summers and time together! If you are able to help fulfill any of their summer needs, call the Friendship Home donation line at (402) 437-9301.

Friendship Home provides crisis services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing to victims of domestic violence and their children. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing domestic violence, please call Friendship Home’s 24/7 crisis line at (402) 437-9302.
