Friendship Home Announces Volunteer Opportunities for 2020

Friendship Home (friendshiphome.org) recently announced their available volunteer opportunities for 2020. Volunteer opportunities for the year include:

  • Match Volunteer: As a match volunteer, you will have the chance to work one-on-one with a child currently staying at Friendship Home once a week for an hour. Having a positive adult role model in their life has proved to be so beneficial for the children Friendship Home serves.
  • Children’s Advocate Volunteers: Help is needed Monday and Wednesday evenings and/or Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Work alongside Friendship Home’s Children’s Advocates to provide nurturing childcare while parents are receiving the direct support they need.
  • Provide frozen meals: If you love to cook, consider providing a frozen meal for a family at the shelter.
  • Stuff the Bus: Friendship Home’s Stuff the Bus event will take place in April and is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals, families, companies, and students. “Like” Friendship Home on Facebook to see updated information and event dates or visit them at Friendshiphome.org. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Rainey at (402) 437-9367 or raineyk@friendshiphome.org.
