Friendship Home Prepares for 19th Annual Safe Quarters October 3

Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) is hosting their 19th annual Safe Quarters Event on Sunday, October 3. Over a thousand volunteers will head out to Lincoln and surrounding neighborhoods for Safe Quarters with the goal of knocking on every household door to collect financial contributions for victims of domestic violence. Safe Quarters is Friendship Home’s largest annual fundraiser. Over $100,000 was raised in 2019, and as a result, Friendship Home was able to save and change the lives of over 1,500 victims of domestic violence.

Teams of volunteers are needed to walk Lincoln neighborhoods. A team generally consists of eight to 12 members and all ages are encouraged to participate. Volunteers will receive t-shirts and collection buckets for the drive. You can help provide “safe quarters” and save lives.

Funds collected during Safe Quarters go towards Friendship Home’s mission to provide safe, confidential shelter, crisis services, and ongoing support for families who have experienced domestic violence and are rebuilding their lives.
