The 2024 Women Build campaign is gearing up for a busy spring, building homes for families in Lincoln. This year, 100 women are joining forces to raise money and either help build a house or participate on a neighborhood clean-up project for Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (LincolnHabitat.org).

The Women Build campaign began recruiting women in September 2023. All of the Women Build participants agreed to raise a minimum of $500 each and participate on the job site one day in May. The participants do not necessarily have construction backgrounds, but rather represent a wide range of industries in Lincoln including insurance, banking, manufacturing, education, real estate and more.

“I love seeing women from different backgrounds come together to support other women,” said Deanna Walz, Habitat’s Director of Development and Marketing. “When you are the one responsible for putting a roof over your family’s head, it’s a big responsibility, and to see all of these incredible leaders come together is inspiring.

Supporting sponsors for this campaign include Ameritas, Lincoln Journal Star and Mead Lumber. Additional information can be found at LincolnHabitat.org.
