Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln Raises $19K at Community Builders Breakfast
Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln (www.lincolnhabitat.org) held its first-annual Community Builders Breakfast on Wednesday, February 13, at the Lincoln Station Grand Hall. During the brief, one-hour event, more than 200 attendees enjoyed a light breakfast while hearing first-hand accounts from Habitat homeowners and their children, the impact of Habitat Lincoln’s affordable homeownership program.
Community Builders Breakfast gave Habitat Lincoln an opportunity to share with its attendees their impact over the last 30 years, but more importantly how that impact has helped more than 170 families move from renting unaffordable and crowded apartments and mobile homes, to realizing their dream of owning their own home.
This new, one-hour fundraising event helped raise $19,000 toward Habitat Lincoln’s 2019-20 homebuyer and construction program.
