Heartland Cancer Foundation Exceeds $80K in Grants for 2019, Promotes Monthly Giving

The Heartland Cancer Foundation (www.heartlandcancerfoundation.org) has already donated over $80,000 to assist local cancer patients in 2019 alone. Jim Essay, president of the board of directors, along with all the staff and administration at Heartland, is grateful they have been able to offer as much assistance as they have. This kind of contribution would not be possible without all the support from donors. One option donors have is to become a monthly donor. The Heartland Cancer Foundation has different monthly giving levels that come with recognition benefits such as company name on event signage and tickets to upcoming events hosted by Heartland.

The foundation was established in 2006 to assist eligible cancer patients with the expense of their gasoline while receiving cancer treatment. Heartland’s generous and enthusiastic team works hard to help lift those with the burden of cancer who can’t cover all their expenses alone. The foundation has expanded over the years to offer additional assistance and to accommodate a growing need for their services. Then, in 2017, they expanded their grant program to include housing payments, car payments, medical supplies, and medical expenses related to treatment.

Heartland Cancer Foundation is committed to helping those who cannot always help themselves. They believe no one should have to struggle alone through something as difficult as cancer, and no one should fall behind while undergoing treatment because they struggle to afford basic necessities.
