Up, way up! That’s the direction a new exhibit at Lincoln Children’s Museum will expand. A three-story exhibit based on the principles of design, imagination and construction will be made possible during Phase III of a five-phase renovation project thanks to support from the Home Builders Association of Lincoln (HBAL).

2012 HBAL President Dan Klein Sr. of Regal Building Systems and HBAL 2nd Vice President Perry Haralson of Cornhusker Bank presented a $10,000 check to Paul Durban, executive director, and Angela Smith, director of development, on behalf of the award-winning Museum.

Construction on the new exhibit, which will be the single-largest within the five-phase renovation project, is anticipated to begin in winter 2014.

Located at 1420 P Street, Lincoln Children’s Museum invites children to create, discover and learn through the power of play. The Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. with extended hours until 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday. The Museum is open Mondays when LPS is not in session.
