For the 24th year, the Home Builders Association of Lincoln built wooden toys for children in need. The toys will again be donated to the Lincoln Police Union’s Santa Cop project through the Center for People in Need. This year’s project is 70 wooden toy boxes with several toys for each child. A children’s project was also be painted and decorated by the smaller children to take to local nursing homes.

More than 100 members of the association and their children worked the event on Saturday, November 3rd.  All toys for this project go to children who might not otherwise receive a gift.

New and used coats have also been collected by members of HBAL to be donated to the Peoples City Mission. With an increase in the number of homeless, the coats will be a welcome contribution to those less fortunate.
