Looking for a free, fun family-friendly event to kick off your Summer? Head over to Antelope Park on Friday, June 6 for an evening of outdoor fun at “Hop, SCIP, Jump and Run,” benefiting School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP) (scipnebraska.com). This year’s event, which is brought to you by Family Health and Wellness Center, will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of booths and activities sponsored by local nonprofits. A Photo Booth, sponsored by Nebraska Mental Health Centers, will capture memories of the event. Visit a pre-set number of booths and activities, and the kids can enter their names into a drawing for prizes donated by area businesses.
After visiting booths and participating in the activities, put on your running shoes for a one-mile Fun Run throughout the park. Due to generous sponsor support, participation in the Fun Run is free again this year for those who pre-register. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers (<18) of the Fun Run. Kids under age 9 must be accompanied by an adult. To register in advance, go to scipnebraska.com or runsignup.com/race-ne-lincoln-hopscipjumpandrun2025.
In addition, B107.3 will be on site to emcee their event and the Skymart Mobile food truck will be on-site, serving up their delicious fare.
SCIP works with schools throughout Nebraska by providing tools and resources to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents, and their families. SCIP’s mission is to provide an effective prevention and early intervention process for youth with behavioral health concerns so they may achieve healthy, productive lives. Money raised at this event will help SCIP provide needed resources to schools and families throughout the state of Nebraska.
