HopeSpoke Presents Active Parenting Classes

To support HopeSpoke’s (www.hopespoke.org) mission of “inspiring healthy futures for children and families through comprehensive behavioral and mental health services,” HopeSpoke will be offering Active Parenting classes to all parents/guardians and other adults interested in evidence-based parenting. Classes will be available for parents of three age levels: parents of 0–5 year olds, parents of 5–12 year olds, and parents of teens. HopeSpoke’s Active Parenting program is made possible through a grant from the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln and charitable donations. The upcoming schedule of classes is as follows:

  • Parents of 0–5 year olds: Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. February 14–March 13 (excluding March 6) at the F Street Recreation Center (1225 F St.). Childcare will be provided for children ages 2–5 years old.
  • Parents of teens: Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. February 17–March 23 at HopeSpoke (2444 O St.).
  • Parents of 5–12 year olds: Tuesdays from 4:30– 6:30 p.m. March 3–April 7 (also at HopeSpoke).

Class fee is $40. A reduced rate as low as $5 based upon income is possible. Materials included. A snack will be offered at each class session as well as an incentive for attending all course sessions.
