Kids are able to do better when they are not hungry. HopeSpoke knows this about school performance, and the same is true when they attend therapy sessions.

For growing and maturing kids, proper nourishment is essential to mental and physical well being. Hunger can lead to increased irritability, difficulty focusing, and can make it harder for children to regulate their emotions and build positive relationships.

Thank you to Lincoln Center Kiwanis for seeing this important need and stepping up for the kids in our community by donating snacks to HopeSpoke’s outpatient program. If they are feeling hungry, kids, adults and families coming to therapy can visit HopeSpoke’s snack cupboard. This small act will help produce better outcomes for everyone and for that, they are grateful.

HopeSpoke sees hundreds of clients a year and keeping their snack cupboard full is no small task. If you or your group is interested in donating snacks please reach out to Suzy Thompson or Maggie Montoya at give@hopespoke.org or (402) 475-7666
