As October begins, Branched Oak Observatory thrilled to invite you to a special evening under the moonlight. On October 4, Branched Oak Observatory will celebrate International Observe the Moon Night from 8 to 11 p.m. It’s a global event dedicated to our closest celestial neighbor, and they’re excited to share the experience with the community.
Throughout the evening, visitors can enjoy telescopic views of the moon’s craters and maria, participate in guided moon observations, and learn fascinating lunar facts from our astronomy experts. It’s a perfect night for families, date nights, or anyone curious about the wonders of the moon. You can even walk on the 30 x 30 foot moon map!
In addition, as we move into the fall and winter months, they’re adjusting the hours to make the most of the longer nights. Join them every Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. for stargazing sessions, and on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. for safe solar viewing. Whether you’re a night owl or a daytime visitor, there’s always something amazing to see at Branched Oak Observatory.
Admission for this event is FREE! It’s a great time to bring out the family. For more information go to theboo.org or call or text Matt (402) 480-5515 or email matthew@branchedoakobservatory.com
