A new neighbor has moved into the Lincoln Children’s Museum (lincolnchildrensmuseum.org), and their home is just the right size for big imaginations. The Museum’s newest permanent exhibit, Tiny House, sponsored by HOME Real Estate and Woods Bros. Realty, welcomed its first guests with a jumbo key handoff in partnership with the Lincoln Chamber, rather than a traditional ribbon-cutting.

Designed for pretend play and interactive learning, Tiny House invites children to step into a fully furnished, pint-sized home complete with a kitchen, build-your own brick fireplace, fabric puzzle rug and a cozy doghouse.

The exhibit offers endless opportunities for children to problem-solve and collaborate with others. “A home is more than a building. It is a place where people connect, share and grow together,” said Tara Knuth, CEO of Lincoln Children’s Museum. “We are proud to create a space where children can immerse themselves in imaginative play.” The exhibit encourages families to explore together and extend their play across multiple exhibits. By blending the familiar concept of a home with the boundless creativity of children, the Tiny House reinforces the Museum’s mission to inspire learning through the power of play. “Woods Bros. Realty and HOME Real Estate have been helping Nebraskans find their home in our community for over 130 years,” said Dan Mlnarik, president of HomeServices of Nebraska. “We couldn’t be happier to expand on this mission through our partnership with the Lincoln Children’s Museum. While it may be a tiny house, we hope it’s a big, welcoming space for all children to discover, create and grow.” The Tiny House exhibit is now open to the public at the Lincoln Children’s Museum.
