The Lincoln community is invited to come together on Sunday, Nov. 16, for the 7th Annual Lincoln Veterans Parade (lincolnveteransparade.com), a celebration honoring service members, veterans, and their families.

This year’s parade carries special significance as it commemorates 250 Years Defending Freedom by celebrating the birthdays of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps—our nation’s founding branches that secured American independence and continue to safeguard its freedom today.

Free and family-friendly, the parade will feature local veteran service organizations, military units, youth groups, community businesses, classic cars, and marching bands, all joining to pay tribute to those who have served.

The parade route will begin at South 21st and K Street, proceeding west to South 14th Street. Free street and lot parking will be available near the route. The opening ceremony at the Nebraska State Capitol Building and parade line-up will both start at 2 p.m. The event will also be broadcast live on LNKTV and YouTube for those unable to attend in person.

Now in its seventh year, the Lincoln Veterans Parade continues to unite the community in a shared spirit of gratitude, remembrance, and pride, celebrating the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our nation.
