As more families and individuals turn to Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach for food assistance, the agency is asking the community for help restocking its Fresh Choice Pantry.

The Fresh Choice Pantry, located adjacent to Matt Talbot’s main building, is designed to resemble a small grocery store where guests can select items at no cost. The pantry offers refrigerated items such as meat, produce and dairy products, as well as canned and boxed goods.

The pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 – 3 p.m., and on Thursdays from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Pre-packaged pantries with shelf stable food are also available when the pantry is closed.

While fresh food supplies are currently stable, Matt Talbot is in immediate need of canned meats, hearty soups and cereal.

“Nearly 100 households are turning to our pantry each week to help put food on the table,” said Alynn Sampson, Executive Director. “We are committed to showing up for every family who needs support, and community donations help ensure our shelves stay stocked and ready.”

Businesses, community groups and individuals can help by hosting a food drive or dropping off donations Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
