Mosaic in Southeast Nebraska (mosaicinfo.org) highlights the power of community partnerships in creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

One example is Becky, who, with Mosaic’s support, has thrived in her job at Country Sliced Ham in Beatrice for over three years. She began with guidance from a Mosaic job coach and, through dedication and support, gained the skills to work independently.

Country Sliced Ham’s owner and CEO, Laurie, shared, “We all love Becky. She makes our customers’ day and is such a hard worker. She has a great attitude, and she’s just like everyone else. That’s how our community should be.”

This celebrates Becky’s success and shows the value of businesses that support inclusivity. Mosaic’s person-centered approach helps people like Becky pursue goals, find independence and contribute to their communities.

“At Mosaic, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to grow, work and be seen for their strengths,” said Malindi Gabelhouse, Community Relations Manager. “Seeing Becky thrive is a testament to what’s possible when organizations, businesses and the community come together.”

Mosaic remains committed to inclusive programs and partnerships that open doors and break down barriers.
