Mourning Hope Grief Center Offers Free Grief Support Groups

The Mourning Hope Grief Center (mourninghope.org/programs/groups.html) invites bereaved children, adults, and families to join others who understand by attending a free grief support group. Each person grieves in their own way, and at their own pace. In peer-based grief support groups, participants come together to offer support and learn from one another.

Family Grief Support Group: For children and teens ages K-12 who have experienced the death of someone significant. Youth meet with others their own age for discussion and education, as well as to see and feel firsthand that they are not alone in their grief. Adult caregivers attend a separate group to receive information on how to support a grieving child, as well as grief support themselves.

Young Adult Grief Support Group: For ages ranging 19 – 30. Share personal experiences with loss and grief, and ask questions of the group as desired.

Adult Grief Support Group: For ages 30+. Learn healthy ways to cope with your grief, and find hope and healing.

Survivors of Suicide Loss Grief Support Group: For ages 18+ who have experienced the suicide death of someone significant. Connect with others who can share in your thoughts and validate your feelings.

The Mourning Hope Grief Center is located at 1311 S Folsom St. All of Mourning Hope’s grief support programs and services are available at absolutely no cost to participants. Complete details and registration for support groups are available online at mourninghope.org/programs/groups.html.
