The Museum of American Speed (museumofamericanspeed.org) was excited to host the grand opening of its new International Model Car Builders Museum Exhibit, May 23 -25 at the Museum of American Speed (599 Oak Creek Drive).

Made possible through the merger with the International Model Car Builders Museum collection, the exhibit features hundreds of meticulously crafted scale-model vehicles representing every corner of automotive culture. From hot rods and race cars to customs and classics, the display showcases the artistry and craftsmanship of professional model builders from around the world.

The grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony, opportunities to meet members of the model-building community, special event exhibitors featuring 400+ models, 2026 Hall of Fame Announcements and activities for visitors of all ages.

With more than 240,000 square feet of exhibits, the Museum of American Speed is one of the nation’s premier automotive museums. The addition of the International Model Car Builders Museum Exhibit further enhances the Museum’s mission of preserving and sharing stories of automotive history, innovation, and creativity.
