Raising Cane’s Donates Nearly $8K to Nebraska Flood Relief Efforts

In March, Raising Cane’s (www.raisingcanes.com) held a fundraiser at their Lincoln, Grand Island, Norfolk, Kearney, Fremont, and North Platte restaurants from 5 to 9 p.m. in support of the 2019 Nebraska flood victims. Raising Cane’s officials recently met up with Captain Stephen Hansen of the Fremont Salvation Army to present a check from the fundraiser for over $7,950.

Raising Cane’s donated 15% of all sales during the fundraiser, but also saw donations from individuals and organizations across the state ranging from $1, up to $500. All funds have been donated to the Salvation Army and will stay in the state of Nebraska to help with the flood relief efforts.

The Raising Cane’s franchise—Southern Hospitality Ventures Inc.—was opened in 2006 by Justin and Jennifer Jones, who moved to Nebraska from Louisiana. Since opening their first location, they have set out to make a change in their community by becoming active community leaders with programs such as this one. Since 2006, the franchise has given back over $1.8 million to their Restaurants’ communities. Learn more by going to the Lincoln’s Raising Cane’s Facebook and Twitter page (@RaisingCanesSHV).
