Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center to Host Annual Holiday Open House

Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center (springcreek.audubon.org/events), 11700 SW. 100 St., in Denton will host their annual Holiday Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 1. This free, family-friendly event will feature homemade holiday treats, hot cider, and live music. There is no registration for this event—everyone is welcome!

Attendees will also have the chance to get creative through the holiday crafting room; a place where people can make holiday decorations out of recycled materials or repurposed items. Music will be provided from members of Arbor Road, a bluegrass band from Lincoln. There will also be a kids’ sing-a-long with local musician Jim King.

“The Holiday Open House is like Spring Creek Prairie’s holiday family get-together,” said Jason St. Sauver, the director of education and outreach for Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center. “Our friends and families are the volunteers, visitors, and donors that join us for programs throughout the year, and this is the one event where we all get together and just enjoy the music, the treats, the holiday season, and catch up with each other.”
