Fresh Start, a local transitional program for women experiencing homelessness, is encouraging outdoor activities this summer for its participants and seeks your support. In addition to encouraging walks, outdoor games, grilling and gardening, there are plans for a pool party for current residents and program alumna.
Fresh Start is a program that assists women address challenges such as substance use, mental and physical health conditions, job loss, abuse and more. Healthy group activities provide opportunities for connection and increased sense of belonging and self-worth. The pool party is also a rare chance for the residents to host family and friends.
Want to get involved in the summer fun? Fresh Start seeks sponsors for the pool party who could provide snacks and water, beach towels, supplies for root beer floats, or make a contribution to sponsor those items and the pool rental.
