Many thanks to all who attended and supported The Arc of Lincoln (www.arclincoln.org) Harvest Moon Annual Celebration held on October 19. The event, which advocated for individuals with intellectual and development disabilities, was a fun-filled success. The scrumptious dinner by the Venue, the lively fundraising Live Auction by Ed Hall of Vandertook Auction Co. as well as the Silent Auction and the recognition program event took place at The Grand Manse in the Jasmine Room.

2023 Arc Advocate Awards were presented to the following individuals in recognition of their advocacy and service:

  • Community Advocate Award: Kathy Wade, DD Service Coordination Supervisor – NE Department Health & Human Services
  • Educator Advocate Award: Hope Clarke, Lux MS Special Education Teacher – Lincoln Public Schools
  • Leadership Advocate Award: Dr. Amber Messersmith- Management Department Professor, UNL College of Business
  • Self-Advocate Award: Alan Carlson- Board Vice President, Arc of Lincoln

Appreciation was expressed to the following Harvest Moon sponsors: Bryan Hospital, Lincoln; Hands of Heartland, Lincoln; Glienke Insurance Agency, Lincoln; Kobza Family, Lincoln; NIAF Reality, Lincoln; Riggs & Associates CPAs, Lincoln; Sandhills Global – Peed Foundation, Lincoln; and Young Family, Beatrice. Appreciation was also expressed to over 50 agencies, businesses and individuals who donated auction items. The Arc of Lincoln thanks all Harvest Moon supporters.
