This fall, The Arc of Lincoln (arclincoln.org) is creating new opportunities for connection, belonging and community through two exciting initiatives that invite everyone to have a seat at the table.

Beginning Sept. 2, The Arc of Lincoln will launch Socialize & Sizzle, a new program made possible through a generous grant from the Community Health Endowment. The program was created to address a challenge many individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) face—social isolation.

While many people with IDD participate in day programs or community activities, they often spend time with the same small circle of people. Socialize & Sizzle is designed to expand those circles by bringing people with and without IDD together in an inclusive environment where participants prepare meals, share conversations, and build genuine friendships.

The program will offer four six-week sessions, using cooking and shared meals as a catalyst for confidence, social wellness and meaningful connections. Registration is now open.

Community partnerships continue this fall with Harvest Moon 2026: Seeds to Success, The Arc of Lincoln’s signature fundraising event on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Scottish Rite Center. The evening will feature dinner, inspiring stories, live and silent auctions, and the opportunity to celebrate the individuals, families, volunteers, and business partners who help make inclusion possible throughout the year.

Businesses are invited to become event sponsors or donate auction items, while community members are encouraged to attend.

To register for Socialize & Sizzle, become a Harvest Moon sponsor, donate an auction item, or learn more about The Arc of Lincoln, visit arclincoln.org, email info@arclincoln.org, or call (402) 421-8866.
