The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults is honored to announce that they were selected as a Top 5 Finalist in the Community Health Endowment Idea Challenge for their innovative Guaranteed Cosigner Program.

For many young adults transitioning out of foster care, securing safe and stable housing is one of the greatest barriers to independence. Even when a young person has employment and the ability to pay rent, they are often denied housing opportunities because they lack established credit history, rental references or a adult who can cosign.

The program is designed to provide qualifying young adults with access to housing opportunities. Beyond helping remove barriers to leasing, the program focuses on financial literacy, tenant education, and ongoing support services that empower young adults to build stability and self-sufficiency.

By investing in supportive pathways to stable housing, we are investing in healthier futures for young adults in our community.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Community Health Endowment for recognizing the importance of this work and for creating oppor tunities to elevate innovative community solutions,” said Rose Hood Buss, HUB Executive Director. “This recognition reinforces the need for continued collaboration and support for young adults navigating the transition out of foster care.”

While The HUB’s Guarantee Cosigner Fund was not the challenge winner, they are proud to stand alongside other organizations working to strengthen the health and wellbeing of our community.
