The Lincoln Children’s Museum is encouraging young builders and big thinkers to roll up their sleeves this summer with its newest temporary exhibit, What Will You Build Today?
Located on the Museum’s lower level, the interactive space invites children to explore creative STEM careers through hands-on building and open-ended play, including:
- Architecture: Sketching ideas and planning structures at the blueprint station
- Engineering: Building, testing, and problem-solving with materials like Rigamajig, Lincoln Logs and Build-A-House planks
- Interior Design: Designing and decorating spaces within a fully furnished, interactive dollhouse
From first ideas to finished builds, the exhibit encourages children to bring their designs to life while developing critical thinking and confidence, rather than following step-by-step instructions.
“This exhibit is all about giving kids the space to think like designers and problem-solvers,” said Tara Knuth, CEO of Lincoln Children’s Museum. “When children are able to build, test and adjust their ideas, they’re developing skills that extend far beyond the Museum walls.”
What Will You Build Today? reflects the Museum’s continued focus on hands-on STEM learning, where play becomes a pathway to creativity, exploration and real-world discovery.
The exhibit will be available throughout the summer season and is included with Museum admission.
