West Gate Bank and BBB Team Up for Free Shred Day Benefitting Food Bank of Lincoln

West Gate Bank (westgate.bank) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB; www.bbb.org) have announced their Free Shred Day, which will be held on Sunday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at the West Gate Bank Center location, 6003 Old Cheney Rd. Free Shred Day is an opportunity for people to bring up to three boxes or bags of sensitive documents for immediate shredding. West Gate Bank and BBB encourage attendees to also bring non-perishable food or monetary donations to benefit the Food Bank of Lincoln.

Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest growing forms of consumer fraud. Free Shred Day addresses this prominent and ever-increasing threat, and helps to educate Lincoln residents to protect themselves against this threat.

The Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) is an organization that helps people find businesses, brands, and charities they can trust. BBB works endlessly to protect and educate the public about red flag businesses. They also go above and beyond to recommend brands that are trustworthy and ethical.

Originally founded in Lincoln in 1968, West Gate Bank is committed to providing a strong foundation to build relationships that empower their customers and employees. They’ve decided to team up with BBB to give back to the community that has supported them through over 50 years of business.
