Belmont Community Center Welcomes Six New Board Members

The Belmont Community Center (BCC, belmontcommunitycenter.org) welcomes new Board of Directors – Lane Carr, Nebraska Department of Education; Kari Herbert, Directions EAP; Brittney Hodges-Bolkovac, Lincoln Public Schools (Dawes Middle); Nancy Petitto, Civic Nebraska; Matt Showalter, Lincoln Public School (CLCs); and Jaylen Vella, Hudl.

These six new board members join current members: Todd Duncan, Duncan Aviation; Bobbie Ehrlich, Lincoln Public Schools (Belmont Elementary); Pat Enevoldsen, Early Childhood Educator (Retired); Kim Fitz, NTT Data Services; Kay Funk, HR & Facilities Management (Retired); Tammie Herrington, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Steve Lindgren, Cornhusker Bank (Retired); and Liz Neujahr, Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Public Schools. Recognition goes to outgoing board member, Stacy Robak, Waste Connections of Nebraska.

“The BCC has been a staple in the Northwest part of Lincoln for 85 years and I am excited to continue the long-standing traditions already put in place while bringing new ideas to the table in order to expand our community outreach,” said new Board member Brittney Hodges-Bolkovac.

The Belmont Community Center was founded in 1937 in an abandoned church on Butler Ave. and its current facility is at 3335 N 12th St. The center focuses on youth programming ages 3-13 and community facility use with an emphasis on being a place where residents can become+connect.
