Husker Rehab Celebrates Work Anniversary of Physical Therapy Assistant Maggie Calmus

Husker Rehabilitation (huskerrehab.com) recently celebrated the one-year work anniversary of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Maggie Calmus. Maggie earned her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from Southeast Community College in March 2019. After one of her college instructors recommended her to Husker Rehab, Maggie began working at the North Lincoln location within months of graduating. Under the supervision of the physical therapists at Husker Rehab, Maggie plays a key role in providing effective treatments and care to patients after surgery, dealing with pain and injuries. Her coworkers say she is a joy to have on the team, as she encourages everyone with her positive attitude and great sense of humor. She shares a new joke each day and has a wonderful way of connecting with her patients and the rest of the support team.

“The physical therapists and coworkers that surround me are a very big reason why I love working at Husker Rehab,” Maggie said. “Every day is a team effort and I’m proud to be a part of this team. Also, as a new grad, I have been able to develop new skills and expand my knowledge with the learning opportunities I have had at this clinic.”
