Each year, residents, staff members and friends of Legacy communities nominate the person they believe lives out their company’s mission and values by enriching the lives of residents. A panel of judges reads through the nominations and the award is presented at Legacy’s annual Employee Appreciation Event, which was held last year on November 9.
Greg Joyce, CEO of Legacy Retirement Communities presented Nikki Hanson with the 2023 Mission & Values Award and surprised her with a video of the residents who nominated her for it. In their nominations, they each praised Nikki for her compassion and patience. “She is fun to be around, and we have great conversations with her while she assists us,” said one resident. “She is a wonderful person and makes me feel so special.”
