Susanne Blue of Matt Talbot Selected to Participate in Nonprofit Executive Institute

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (mtko.org) executive director, Susanne Blue, CMSW (Certified Master Social Worker), was recently selected to participate in The Nonprofit Executive Institute, an 11-month leadership program offered through the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (www.nonprofitam.org). The program offers skills and strategies to non-profit leaders to enhance organizational sustainability and transform the communities they serve. Through a competitive application process, 20 leaders from Lincoln and Omaha were selected to participate in this year’s class.

“I am excited to learn with and from this great group of non-profit leaders and discuss some of the pressing issues facing our industry,” said Susanne Blue. “This is a wonderful professional opportunity that will strengthen Matt Talbot and, in turn, our community.”

Susanne Blue has been executive director at Matt Talbot for 20 years, serving as the first director of the organization, which was founded by volunteers in 1992. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska–Omaha in 2000 and has more than 30 years of volunteer and professional experience in community organizing, advocacy, crisis support, program planning, program evaluation, and grant writing.
