The Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries (foundationforlcl.org) recently welcomed Ryan Wieber to Lincoln to serve as the new director of Lincoln City Libraries. He arrived from his home state of Michigan, where he was the director of the Kalamazoo Public Library system. In Kalamazoo, he oversaw the central library and four branches.

He began his career with a public history degree from Western Michigan University and finished his master’s degree in library science from Detroit’s Wayne State University. Mr. Wieber loves his profession and says the best parts of his job are serving the community and continually working hard to ensure residents recognize the importance and value that public libraries provide toward the success of a community.

“Ryan has the skills, experience, and drive needed to grow, strengthen, and innovate our already strong library system. He is a dynamic leader with a proven record of strong management, collaboration, and innovation. Ryan and his wife, Molly, are the parents of three grown children and look forward to making Lincoln their home,” said Library Board President and local businessman Dan Sloan.

The Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries was formed in 1954 to provide annual support for the programs and services provided to our residents through Lincoln City Libraries. This support is only successful because of volunteer involvement and public support through the Foundation.
