Looking for a great family-friendly event to kick off your summer? Head over to Antelope Park on June 2 for an evening of outdoor fun at “Hop, SCIP, Jump and Run,” benefiting School Community Intervention and Prevention (SCIP, scipnebraska.com). This year’s event, which is brought to you by Family Health and Wellness Center, will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of booths and activities sponsored by local nonprofits.

After visiting booths and participating in the activities, enter your name into the drawing for prizes and then put on your running shoes or a one-mile fun run throughout the park. Due to generous sponsor support, participation in the fun run is free again this year for those who pre-register. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers of the fun run. To register in advance, go to www.scipnebraska.com.

SCIP works with schools throughout Nebraska by providing tools and resources to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents and their families. SCIP’s mission is to provide an effective prevention and early intervention process for youth with behavioral health concerns so they may achieve healthy, productive lives. Money raised at this event will help SCIP provide needed resources to schools and families throughout the state of Nebraska.
