Strictly Business (strictly-business.com) is thrilled to announce that their 10th annual Party in the Garden Fundraiser, which was held on September 9, raised $20,375 for Domesti-PUPS (www.domesti-pups.org)! The event was a great success— attendance hit a record high and there were many amazing local businesses that showed their support through sponsorships, donations, and volunteering. Highlights of the event included food and beverages provided by local vendors, a live and silent auction, live music by Mike Semrad and Friends sponsored by Gary Tharnish with HOME Real Estate, chair massages from Erin McLenon with 5 Elements Massage & Spa, a dunk tank provided by Lincoln Inflatables, foot darts and yard pong from Nebraska Knockerball, and the emceeing talents of Gary Tharnish.

Domesti-PUPS is a local nonprofit that mainly trains and provides service dogs for persons with disabilities, especially children suffering from seizures. They also train rescue dogs. The costs to acquire, maintain, and place these highly skilled canines is quite high—veterinary costs alone are over $2,500 a month as DomestiPUPS has over 40 dogs in their care at any given time. These dogs receive quality care and require extensive testing to ensure they are healthy enough to do their future jobs.

The money raised at Party in the Garden this year will help DomestiPUPS continue to change and save lives, which would not have been possible without the hard work of committee members and volunteers, in addition to the following partnerships.

All-night beverages were made possible by Ben Bleicher’s PRG of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices team as the Vodka Bar Sponsor, Kinkaider Brewing Co. and Sideshow Spirits provided beer and cider, and local wines were served from James Arthur Vineyards and Whispering Winds Winery. Water bottles were donated by Culligan and ice was donated by The Tam Restaurant & Pub.

Food sponsors included Noodles & Co., Doorstep Diner Catering, Goodcents, Hog Wild Pit BBQ, Buzzard Billy’s, Rodizio Grill, Epicure, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Sunflower House Cookies, A Warm Cookie,  and Maize Popcorn. Pizza Ranch and Rosie’s Sports Bar & Grill also donated food for volunteers.

Strictly Business would also like to thank the following event and table sponsors for their committed support: Chelsea Hutchison Foundation, Guiderock Realty, INSTINCT, New Generation Construction, JDM Insurance, Alpha Wealth Advisors, Gary Tharnish with HOME Real Estate, Union Bank & Trust, ALLO, Morrow Collision, Cornhusker Family Dental, Barnwood & Leather, inSOURCE Financial Advisors, U-neek Events, and Eagle Printing.
