The Arc of Lincoln (arclincoln.org) is excited to introduce Socialize & Sizzle, an innovative new health and wellness program made possible through a generous grant from the Community Health Endowment. Beginning Sept. 2, the program will provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) opportunities to improve their health, build friendships and strengthen community connections.

The program will offer four six-week sessions throughout the year, featuring interactive classes focused on healthy cooking, nutrition, physical activity, social wellness and community engagement. Participants will prepare meals, explore wellness activities, build confidence and develop life skills in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

As summer comes to a close, The Arc of Lincoln is looking forward to Disability Empowerment Night with the Lincoln Saltdogs on Friday, August 7. Through the generosity of community sponsors, hundreds of individuals with disabilities and their families will enjoy a complimentary evening of baseball, fireworks, and celebration honoring the legacy of Damian Olander. Businesses and community partners are still invited to sponsor the event and help provide free tickets for families throughout our community. Planning is also underway for Harvest Moon 2026: From Seeds to Success, The Arc of Lincoln’s signature annual fundraising gala on Thursday, October 15. Sponsorship opportunities and live and silent auction donations are now being accepted.
