For nearly 40 years, The Bridge Behavioral Health (thebridgenebraska.org) has provided a continuum of services for people suffering from substance use and related mental health conditions. In a typical year, 1,100 individuals will access services at The Bridge and most of whom have no insurance or are eligible for Medicaid. Whether they seeking withdrawal services, respite or residential treatment, The Bridge provides them with the necessities to ensure a dignified and comfortable stay. Some of the most requested items are socks and personal hygiene products.

This April, The Bridge Behavioral Health is hosting its first annual Socks, Soap & Hope drive. The Bridge is seeking new/unused socks and hygiene items such as travel-size deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, body wash or bar soap and lotion, as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and menstrual products. Donations can be dropped off at 721 K St. in Lincoln.

If your organization is interested in hosting a donation drive or you have questions, contact Taylor Brethouwer at tbrethouwer@thebridgenebraska.org or (402) 413-2203.
