The Bridge Behavioral Health Asks for Community Support to Make Lasting Change

For over 30 years, The Bridge Behavioral Health (www.thebridgenebraska.org) has served as an essential part of the community’s safety net, providing support and treatment to people struggling with mental health and substance use. This support helps people like Chris experience change:

“Thank you so much for all the love and support you all showed me this past month,” shared Chris. “I can honestly say that you all changed my life in a drastic way. Every nurse, recovery advocate, and counselor deserve nothing but the best. Words can’t explain how grateful I am for all of you. All I can say is ‘thank you.’”

Donating to The Bridge this upcoming Give to Lincoln Day is an incredible way to make a lasting impact on the people in our community. Josh Cotner, a recovery advocate, explains why The Bridge is so important:

“We make a difference in people’s lives, especially individuals struggling with substance use. Many of our clients arrive with no hope, but after their stay with us, they have a glimpse of what life can be like without drugs or alcohol. There are little moments working with clients that I see fundamental shifts in their thought process and it’s almost like a light bulb turning on. Sometimes it’s a client realizing he can be there for his children or realizing he actually has value. I can see a shift in the way our clients walk or the way they interact with their peers when they really believe it. And that’s my favorite.”
