Owned by Robert and Maria Richter and managed by Timothy Richter, Miracle Mile Motors has been serving the people of Lincoln, Omaha, Grand Island, Beatrice, Nebraska City, Columbus and the greater Midwest since 1965. Now located on 8750 Amber Hill Ct. (87th and Hwy 2), Miracle Mile offers a great selection of used cars, trucks, vans and SUVs that are exceptionally clean and low in mileage. They are Lincoln’s used car dealer for late model used cars with CarFax reports on every vehicle.

What do you think makes you different from other companies similar to yours? – The way we treat and respect our customers and their needs and wants.

What do you like about doing business in Lincoln? – The friendly people we have living here and that we still have personal relationships with bankers, etc. and aren’t just another number.

What kind of community organizations/groups are you involved with? – Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and our church.

Do you have a business philosophy or mission statement? – Treat people like you would want to be treated.

What changes have you seen in the industry and your company in the past few years? – Cost of inventory is much higher. The internet has also helped us reach more potential buyers. Another change is that we have moved to 87th and Hwy 2 from downtown where we were for 40 plus years.

What do you see happening with the business in the next five years? – An increase in sales, the right inventory still difficult to find and Robert phasing out of the business and his brother Tim taking over more.

What is one of the biggest challenges that your company has faced? – Combating 0% interest and incentives on new cars when we were trying to sell the late-model, pre-owned vehicles along with getting loans for customers during the tough years.

What has been your most important achievement as a business? – Surviving the high interest rates in the ‘80s and continuing to make a living during those rough years without any outside financial help.

What was the biggest turning point in your business? – Having Tim come to work with Robert to grow the business.

What is the most unique or interesting thing about your business that most people don’t know? – That we started without any borrowed money, including any financial help from family or friends.

What is one goal for your business that you have yet to accomplish? – To be debt-free.
