Reflecting over these 20+ years, what I have learned is that consistency in work habits, belief in what you are doing, and being surrounded by mentors and fellow professionals in the industry has led to a very satisfying career.
I first started my RE career after I spent the previous year volunteering in many capacities in my church during a period when we were without a full time pastor. It filled my bucket! In the meantime, my husband had a good career but suddenly took a 40% pay cut. I had thought of Real Estate for years but never pursued it. That event gave me the push. At first, I was concerned that I would no longer be serving the purpose I had, but I quickly learned the opposite was true! And I have found it exciting, rewarding and challenging ever since. As I have matured in life my priorities have become clearer. I grew up in a loving family within a small community where relationships and concern for others were hard wired into me. My faith began as a young person, but life experiences over the years have shown me that is my #1.

It keeps me on path and helps me remember who I am and why I am here. When you help someone make a transition, whether buying a first home, moving up, or downsizing to a facility, there are many ways a Realtor has an important influence.
It begins with helping the client to discern their needs and wants. From there, that’s where the expertise comes in! I am a problem solver and there is nothing more gratifying than to help someone get over the hurdles, helping them to know “we can do this” and make it all happen. It is a partnership. We do it together.
