In July, Cornhusker Bank Chairman/CEO, John F. Dittman, announced Cornhusker Bank had entered into an agreement for a lease/purchase of land on the northwest corner of 84th and O Street to build its new Corporate Center. This will be the bank’s seventh full service facility, and will also house the bank’s corporate offices, pending regulatory approval. Mr. Dittman noted, “Cornhusker Bank is excited to be investing in growing and expanding our facilities to meet the needs of our customers and the growth of our community.” Signage has now gone up marking the site of the future home of the corporate center.

Photo_Cornhusker_Bank_Lincoln_NebraskaBarry Lockard, Cornhusker Bank President, reported the bank’s largest facility, currently at 11th and Cornhusker Highway, is at maximum space usage due to continued bank growth. The 11th and Cornhusker location will remain a fully staffed, full service location. All Cornhusker Bank locations have received technology and facility updates in the last seven years, in order to serve their customers with the most updated products and services possible. Mr. Lockard reported, “The addition of a new Corporate Center at 84th and O Street will allow Cornhusker Bank to continue to expand and elevate our extraordinary customer service.” Groundbreaking will take place in the spring of 2015, and the bank expects to occupy the new facility in 2016.

This Corporate Center will continue to elevate Cornhusker Bank’s ability to provide valued solutions to the community. The center will house a complete suite of services, including corporate offices, retail banking, commercial lending, small business services, private banking, wealth management and insurance. In addition, operations and information technology departments will be housed in the center. The synergies created by the center will facilitate a better experience for both customers and associates throughout all Cornhusker Bank locations. Technological enhancements installed in the building of the new center will allow enhanced options for interaction and communication throughout the bank’s network.

Cornhusker Bank will continue to elevate its service to the community with the inclusion of an area in the new facility which community organizations can utilize. This will be the second area in the bank’s network of locations committed to this purpose, with a community room already in place at the Apples Way location. The new site and community area will be used for staging programs and activities such as the bank’s annual One Day without Shoes event for the benefit of the People’s City Mission. The One Day without Shoes event has generated nearly 32,000 pairs of shoes and $34,000 in cash donations for the Mission over the last four years. This community area will also give the bank another location option for its annual Youth Fair which is designed to assist families by increasing the financial literacy of children.

Cornhusker Bank, a leading community bank, has been named one of Lincoln’s Best Places to Work through employee survey. Cornhusker Bank is the community’s oldest locally owned bank, demonstrating stability, soundness and continued commitment to the success of its valued customers and associates.
